John Fox walked onstage for the first time at the World Famous Comedy Store on June 14, 1979.

Within three months he became a paid regular. Six months after that he scored his first television appearance on "Norm Crosby's Comedy Shop". The late Jack Albertson introduced him on that show as, "Too cute to be funny, the Nick Nolte of comedy." Ten years and twenty pounds later; John considers himself looking more like "Captain Kangaroo" after a rough weekend.

He now travels up to forty weeks a year and has accumulated an impressive number of television credits. He headlines major comedy clubs throughout the country, he was the featured act on Rodney Dangerfield's last two HBO specials and is featured in the animated feature film, "Rover Dangerfield". He plays the voice of the pig; Rodney Dangerfield called it "type-casting".

John takes audiences to places they never thought they'd be. From a pornographic 3D movie to the perils of being a parent and then having a part time job at Disneyland portraying "Goofy". His face seems to be made out of rubber as he mugs and contorts his features to squeeze the utmost out of every punch line delivered. Playboy magazine said, "He gets more mileage out of his face than any comic we've ever seen!"

Variety magazine described his appeal as; "He's sort of like the wacked out, weirded, next door neighbor who drops by to borrow a beer and you can't get rid of him type. Everyone has a friend like this. You just can't help liking him."
